Yes, at last, you can compile your own build whenever you want.

https://github.com/Robbbert/hbmame

Up to 0.183, a release package is provided, however there's no guarantee that it will compile.


To compile:

HBMAME is NOT aligned to MAME releases, it is issued whenever it's ready. It will be aligned to MAME latest git instead.

You must pull to the tag, from the hbmame repository above.

>git checkout tag183 (for example)

I use gcc 5.3.0, although it should work with any supported compiler of MAME.



You can request games to be added, but you have to supply any required roms.

Cool. What about making an official build based on MAME v0.159 ? There are lots of changes in 0.159 compared to 0.155 (last HBMAME compile).
I don't have the compile tools and/or the environment setup to compile MAME.

wow, that was fast.
Question: will HBMAME ever support multi-slot loading for Neo-Geo (and other systems) as MAME does ?
like...
hbmame.exe neogeo -cart1 mslug -cart2 mslug2

If so, what about the hacks from neogeo1.c and others drivers ? Will they work ? I think these hacks need to listed in hash\neogeo.xml file so MAME can load them (software list).
This is just a curiosity, not a request...

Oh, OK. Well there is the BlueStacks Android Virtual Console for Windows. But if anything, can wait till the GPD Win comes out. Currently there is no Portable System able to run Homebrew Roms. But once the Win comes out, then can have fun with HBMAME finally on a Portable Gaming Device
