SFV - Can I run it?
#355987 - 06/27/16 02:48 PM

I'm assuming no go? Would investing in another gfx card be enough? I was looking to buy one of those new $200 AMD Polaris cards. I want Freesync capability, so no NVIDIA or gsync.

Windows 10 64-bit

Phenom II x4 3.0GHz

Asus R4 240 2GB ddr3

8Gb ddr3

I appreciate that, but I'm asking from those with real world usage on hardware similar to mine. Surely someone has attempted it. If I have to drop resolution to 720p or disable a few graphical options to get it to run 60fps, I'm good. Don't want to spend $50 if I have build a new PC to run it, though. I'll buy a new graphics card, but that's about as far as I want to go currently.

DL from torrent and try Yourself.
And if U wish to stay clean, just delete/uninstall it & buy the legal copy of the game.
As simple as that.

You realize what you said would have him breaking the law, right? There's no "staying clean" option in what you wrote so don't tell people that there is.

I'm not into the cracks/illegal downloading scene. PC games I get from either GoG or Steam.

I wish I'd known about the beta as that would've been a good time to see. Shame there isn't a trial version.

Probably going to buy an RX480. From what I've read, the game is gpu bound. If nothing else, I'll have a decent card for my new build in 6 months.

I imagine an official sfv forum would be able to answer your question without you having to buy anything.

The graphics card is happening regardless of SFV. I want Freesync capability for MAME and my crappy 240 doesn't support it. I was hoping I could enjoy the game before my next full build.

Steam now has a way for you to get a refund on games. Something like if you've only played for 2 or 3 hours.

Although, I have bought... I guess, 3 games through Steam that I can't run on my computer. I'll go ahead and keep them since I currently use a laptop with an i3 intel chip. Since I know I will eventually upgrade to a more powerful desktop, I'll just keep those games and they'll be new to me when I'm able to play 'em.

That's a good point. From the reviews, it sounds like the game needs more time in the oven.

If that's the case, let it cook. Another sale will come along, the price could drop in the meantime, and you never know if they'll burn it.
