AJR WIP (courtesy of Haze): DECO Cassette progress during the MAME 0.189 release cycle
#369617 - 09/12/17 01:35 AM

Haze has a nice writeup of AJR's progress in getting more accurate colors out of DECO Cassette emulation during the MAME 0.189 release cycle:
https://mamedev.emulab.it/haze/2017/09/11/deco-cassette-in-mame-0-189/

This is old news by now, MAME users using the MAME 0.189 release are already benefiting from this development, but certainly could have been highlighted.

Very impressive work. This is where continual efforts improving hardware emulation in MAME really pays off and makes MAME for what it is. I'd like to believe this DECO update can shake things up in which more DECO cassettes will likely surface and the games can be emulated whether it be of games not emulated or alternate versions not yet emulated.....it doesn't matter, but it would be nice if another couple more can be emulated sometime this year.

Also looking forward to a future wip update for recent improved Mazer Blazer hardware emulation since emulation of that hardware had been on hold for some time.

I thinking about trying some of those out.
