ARCADE32/64 0.190 new
#369922 - 09/27/17 11:57 AM

http://arcade.mameworld.info/

Arcade-only build, see above link for more info.

Changelogs since 0.185:

0.186:
- Reverted some of last month's Taito F3 hacks because of bugs.

0.187:
- Various adjustments and improvements to some games.
- Bugs in Bonze Adventure fixed [by Demonkatze].
- Sounds re-added to Monkey Magic

0.188:
- Big fixes to get around breakage from the core. Thanks to Mamesick for all his work on this.
- History display was completely rewritten. This adds marp.dat, giving 8 dats in total.
- Note that the text format in dat files is interpreted slightly differently - the text is displayed as is. No need for extra blank lines and so on.

0.189:
- History indexing made much faster.
- Movies and Videos directory have been merged, use the same one for both things.
- Added right-click option to read the game's PDF manual (you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed).
- Fixed M1FX button to tell you if m1fx.exe not found instead of doing nothing.
- Fixed right-click "View Zipfile Content" if you have multiple rom directories defined.
- If no games in the list, prevent right-click from working, also remove references to "005".

0.190:
- Fixed problem with it running on XP
- Fixed blue progress bar
- A new caching mechanism was added. This fixes incorrect reporting of a game's status, and speeds up the start time of the GUI.
- If the game doesn't support save states, then the options to save and load save states are greyed out.
- You should delete gui\gamestat.ini before starting ARCADE 0.190 for the first time, otherwise some weird bugs might occur. Then press F5.

I thought building Arcade only still put in the Pinball and gamble games. Did you guys remove those games list?

What's in it?
- Arcade games only
- NO pinball
- NO poker games
- NO gambling games
- NO systems that require software, such as computers and consoles
- If all the games of a specific source file are not functional, then they are removed.

I saw that before I post. Never mind about the question. I just wondering on how they deal with all of those. lol

The problem with this is it stops anyone who contributes to mame arcade work from using it as a quick dump status tool. I think that downside outweighs any ups from it, especially since you're already going to have a bunch of nonworking games in your list.

There's a front-end that has the ability to display Arcade only without the binary or source needing to be modified.

If one doesn't like the HS wheels and themes then they can be changed to a regular text listing.

This Emulator looks and runs much better and faster. Not to mention not a lot of Software slowing it down which cuts down on the Size of it.Will it be Ported to other Systems?

Exactly, also there are some games which are flagged "NOT WORKING", but still somehow are playable.

I skipped those. Even the ones that have sounds and graphics issue too. Skip.

No flip screen on cocktail mode < I don't have a problem with.

I appreciate Your work, as usual

1. Horizontal tab shows horizontal and vertical games. And Vertical tab shows only few games on list.

2. I've updated Arcade with all files from new MAME, added hiscore.dat v190 from Leezer and when I try to run PC-10 game, I see error:

imagebam.com

with original hiscore.dat from MAMEDEV or previous v189 from Leezer no errors.

My hi-score config in Arcade:
imagebam.com

as to the playchoice 10 games, first load game up and set it to freeplay in the dipswich settings,
exit then delete the games .hi file

then reload game and see if that works

Yeah, it works. But MUST be done WITHOUT Your hiscore v190 file inside or it shows error. Also when I select game again (by ENTER CHANNEL via game) the error shows again and again.

Due to error refers to line 188 in init.lua (screen above), I paste this line:
local b = str:sub(i+1,i+1):byte();

And as for now I decided to use Your v189 instead.
