Magnet System update: more unknown titles
#353425 - 04/24/16 09:04 PM

A small update about Magnet System hardware from spanish company EFOSA. An ad published in 1987 includes screenshots from some games and 3 new unknown titles:

- The Burning Cave
- Scorpio
- Paris Dakar.

The are still no confirmation of if all games designed for Magnet System were finally published.
I leave more info, including a comments from a few designers, here (spanish):

Interesting find. Good to see games/hardware that may or may not be obscure in this day and age still being discovered/re-discovered. If the Magnet System was produced and existed in arcades/stores back then, that will be a challenge finding diskettes that are in readable condition by this time.

The flyer actually says "The Burning Cavern", not "The Burning Cave"

Anyhow, added all three to Undumped Wiki.

Yes gregf, It's a very rare system even here in Spain, and I'm trying to document every stuff I found about it. Unfortunately the diskettes are protected, so It might be a not easy task read them.
(images in previous entry:

Anyway, someone had the pcbs and some diskettes (they were bootlegs of foreign titles, in a decision to try to up the sales of the system). I guess the system included a BIOS, and I think It would be interesting at least dump it.

... okay dude, does your host block Mexico or is my ISP being stupid? I've NEVER been able to reach your site. Windows' Ping utility doesn't even resolve a single jump.

I'm sorry to hear this. From Mexico shouldn't be blocked. I PM you for more details.
