an amusement center having coin-operated games
a place with many games that can be played by putting coins in them — often used before another noun ▪ an arcade game
an area where there are many electronic or other coin-operated games for the public
an indoor area containing coin-operated game machines
When I grew up, "arcade games" (and pinball games) were everywhere: arcades, liquor stores, laundromats, restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, etc. That's in California.
In Nevada, you can find fruit machines in all the same types of places. In Britain, same thing. In Japan, mahjong games can be found in all those same types of places.
The people that played those types of games when they were younger have the same feelings and attachment to those games as I do to "regular" arcade games.
MAME has always been an International project in the broadest sense. Just because a game doesn't classify as "arcade" in the traditional sense to one group of people, doesn't mean that it isn't an arcade game to someone else.
So all the games belong. And they're all arcade games. Done.
RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
