Here's the deal... There is an insanely rare 1980s Sega game for sale. I spotted it a few days ago and was going to do a DU fundraiser. A few hours later I got word that a collector we are friends with is bidding on it and already has more money for it than I could reasonably raise. I'm not doing a DU fundraiser because DU funds buy boards that get resold and this is going to a dude's collection indefinitely. The game will sell for at least $1,100 at the very least. There is no telling what the ceiling would be because it has never been seen before.
Anyway, again, the collector we know is buying it for himself to keep so this is not a DU fundraiser where I buy a game and dump it and resell for recycle funds. In fact you wouldn't send me any money at all. So I understand passing on the situation. On the other hand if you pledge money would raise our chances of getting the dump and it's probably our only chance of ever getting it. If he wins he will dump it for us for sure and it's someone who has dumped a decent amount of things for us in the past so... Anyway like I was saying...awkward. Your choice. Maybe you don't care about resells/recycle funding so... PM me if you are interested and I can tell you the game and who to get in touch with through the board software. I'm sure you could just do a pledge for now and not send any money unless he wins and I can show you the auction and stuff.
