Phosphor trail and LCD element ghosting are sadly not the same thing, at least visually. Also, there is a lengthy explanation somewhere over yonder at BYOAC about LCD type and performance. But basically I would only use an LED back-lit LCD TV, or LED TV, if I were going non-CRT. (I have four rigs, all 27" CRTs: one CGA, the three being some degree of digital multisync, one of them an arcade multisync.)
