Windows 8 made me want to smash my computer. I've never been so frustrated in my life.
The number one thing that pissed me off was installing software. There's no programs menu, so once you install software, there's no way to run it without searching for the exe. I'm not buying new software from the Microsoft App Store. Fuck You, Microsoft.
Also, I had to do a Google search to figure out how to shut down. Microsoft went out of their way to hide the shut down option. I guess they assumed everyone was using an "always on" computer like a tablet.
Fly-out menus whenever your mouse hits the edge of the screen are a terrible idea. Most of the application UI is near the edges (think full-screen YouTube).
Is Windows 10 any better (assuming I get over the rape trauma from Windows 8 )?
