Sounds like you were inspired by Frostillicus' rotating cab, as he did that. I made a cab that combined the yoke (that kind is yoke), with flight stick on right, and GGG up-down spinner on left (for Discs of Tron - alas they no longer make the spinner, though are thinking about it).
My first panel had T-sticks, and while I liked the MiNImal throw, actuation was a little difficult. So, combining the above controls would allow dedicated 4way and 8way panels - hell, might as well do dual 4way and 8way.
What monitor were you using?
By the way, TnF is possible with micros. Years ago I saw a vid of a dude using the two-handed four-finger technique (sounds dirty!) smashing scores. I have regular cherrys, and use a little metal ruler balanced on a rubber grommet, and I've beaten the default scores I think on all events, getting high scores on things like long-jump.
Of course, there's the GGG micro-leafs, which are pretty nice. I have two in my main panel, fire and jump, and haven't gotten round to replacing the others, as I don't much use them. I rarely play TnF. Hell, these days I mostly play Joust.
> Why was I changing anything?
> In my last move, this cab got crushed. And when I plugged it in the monitor set fire.
I'm rebuilding it.
> It's been well photographed in its prime here before. Not much to see at the moment. The neon sides are broken and gone, and the monitor is awol. When I get it back to presentable state I can repost pics.
