Getting a laptop, would their be any cons in using WI-FI for torrenting ?

So I may have to switch to a laptop for a while and was wondering if their are any cons in using WI-FI for downloading/updating torrents over WI-FI ? Now right off the top of my head I know the download speed will be a little less. I'm more concerned though about connecting to large Mame torrents to update my sets and the checking that is involved cause when I direct a new Mame torrent on top of my old set it takes a quite while for the client to check what I got, then download what I'm missing. Also assume I'll have good connection to the router so like 4 or 5 full bars.

Is there any problems that might arise by using a wireless laptop that I'm not seeing ?
