Get the fixed binary in this thread. This binary will not be available in EL's download page as I simply don't have time to update the website.
Just now I found a bug in EL's startup process that deletes all emulator exec and ROMs folders info from ini_files\emulators.ini if you update any emulator executable before starting the frontend.
At startup, EL tries to detect new emulator binaries and update their version info in ini_files\emualtors.ini. Problem is, the file gets deleted and re-created again (to remove unused sections and unused data).
If you already have MAME/HBMAME setup in Emu Loader, DO NOT run Emu Loader after updating MAME/HBMAME binaries or you will loose their selections "Emulators Setup" screen.
Make sure to start Emu Loader, and only then update your MAME/HBMAME binaries. Then, re-create the games lists.
Download the fixed binary in this thread. Then it's safe to update emulator binaries without loading the frontend first.
To fix this problem for good, the .ini file will no longer be deleted when saving data. EL will try to delete empty sections instead.
