what is the format of the favorites list in MAME's UI ? I know I could look for it myself but I just don't have the time (or the strewth) right now (busted shoulder).

Note that Emu Loader uses machine_name\gamename for softlist games.
example of favorites.ini in EL (first is arcade game, the others are softlist games)
