It's more of a drop-in-drop-out 2D arena game, focus is very much on player-vs-player. Very ahead of it's time really because this type of thing didn't start to become popular until much later, and even then mostly on home platforms.
For the same reasons you can see why it didn't do too well tho, to be fun you really 3-4 player, and the original cabinet would have required a massive amount of space, as a single player game there's not much to do. Framerate is a bit of an issue too, whole thing runs locked at 15fps, so while it has the looks of something like Sinistar I imagine players found it a bit frustrating to control.
