Having seen a video on one of these being built... Then hearing it being played! I just had to make one on my own.

I don't have the front part for it yet. I'll need an 8th inch thick panel... But, I'm thinking I may use some left over white write-on board instead (I'll have to get this from my father). That can at least eliminate the need to sand and varnish it. But, I don't know how it will affect the sound. I'm thinking it won't matter... I guess I'll see.

One thing that makes me wonder though. I've seen some made that appear to have screw placement in certain places. These variations in design trigger my OCD. Like, I've seen some with screws near the top 2 corners, and some without. Even some with evenly spaced screws all the way around, and some that might have fewer (more spread out) near the bottom. Or maybe it doesn't matter at all.

Summoning Sune

& speaking of musical instruments... I still have yet to obtain or borrow a Mig Welder to make that tank-drum (connecting the top and bottom halves). But that's another topic for another day.

Edit: The screws missing on the top corners is so that there can be more 'slap'. A slight wedge slipped in can help separate the board from the box. And with more screws, you get more bass.
