I turn off everything in MAME that is non-arcade (it has a ton of different types of handhelds which I dont want to see) so in the case of the PSP, I treat it as just
another "console" for a different emulator.
BTW on a slightly different topic,
Quote:No fixed image categories. EmuCon has fixed image categories on each layout and that cannot be changed. But Emu Loader is coded in a different way, allowing you to select any image category for any of the layouts. the code is already there, now I need to find a way to add an extra set of categories for console/computer/handheld and make EL load the correct screenshot based on the selected game.
Attached is a pic of the image layout I was talking about, with the marquee, snapshot and control panel for MAME. This currently works great - at least in my unzipped image folder case. In EmuCon I had something similar but with title, snapshot and box art. ... IMO it would be absolutely fine if all consoles were locked to a single set of categories (different than MAME of course), that would hopefully limit the options and hopefully some of the complexity on your end.
It might be possible have different panel sizes as well, one size set for arcade and one size set for console/computer/handheld... both using the same images layout, of course.
On the downside, this might bring heavy-duty paint calls into the screenshots panel. Heavy flicker and painting bugs might occur.
This change will take some time though. Now that EL v8.3 is out there, I'm fixing bugs and optimizing the code as I receive feedback from users.
