What I did before you added the quick filter was if I temporarily only wanted to play only a specific console, I would do a category search by system name, then when I was done I could quickly clear it and return to my normal default list with the reset filter button. This is part of the reason why I originally assumed the reset in the quick filter would do something similar. This method was far quicker than checking and unchecking individual system boxes in the machine filter dialog. Now your quick filter makes this even quicker, but is also why I was looking for a quick reset to default there as well.
Ok so, you want a button in the quick filter to disable the quick filter and re-enable the machine/systems mega filter. If that's what you mean, I can add such button in the quick filter.
Click it and it will work as if you clicked the "apply" button in the machines/system mega filter.
I was also thinking on expanding the "Show All Console/Computer/Handheld Systems" in the machine type/systems mega filter. Since there's a "Show All Arcade Systems", why not splitting the other one into "Show All Console", "Show All Computer", "Show All Handheld" ?
I thought about adding these Show All "system type" entries in the quick filter as well, but maintaining the individual system selections.
see attached pic for the new "Reset To Default" button. "Reload" button will just re-select last used quick system selections
