Laptop is faster than that Raspberry Pi. Use Raspberry Pi for web browsing and everything else. Not good for MAME because you only be playing older games. All the later games will lag to death.

Laptop you will need Directx extra files install.

MAME can be download from here.

MAME does have a front end build in which I used most of time. Unless you want to use another front end. Your choice.

Can't help you with the ROM's though.



Be sure read on the MAME screen on each game before reporting broken or any other issue.
