I wrote a sequence player on the Apple IIgs that takes about 2% of CPU at 2.8 MHz for 14 channels of sound. We're saying that on the C2, sample playback is free for the CPU, so if your sequence player takes any measurable amount of time on a 7 MHz 68000 without DAC servicing you're doing it wrong :-)
