Saving "Slot Device" Settings?

Hi all,
Not sure if this is possible, or if I'm just missing something...But is there a way to save "slot device" settings so you do not have to go back in and reconfigure them every time? For instance, A2600 - Omega race, It uses the Joy Booster for two buttons. But when you exit, it goes back to joy. Save state does not work for this. Can anyone give me some insight on this?
