Hi all,

Like some of you, I use arcade cabinet widescreen bezels to fill the black bars on my 16x9 LCD. For some games, I have a realistic generic black no-art cabinet for horizontal and one for vertical oriented games that I would symbolically link to for those that did not have specific artwork. This worked great when I was using uneven stretch, but now I started using HSLS for CRT emulation and it really needs integer scaling.

The problem is integer scaling makes MAME resize the bezel for each game depending on its unique resolution leaving black bars all over again. I have now been creating new layouts manually for each generic game, but is there a function to just have MAME not molest the bezel and leave it at full screen size and let the game screen size be whatever it needs to be with no relation in integer scale mode? In this case, the bezel has a large black field surrounding the screen anyway, so I don't mind a varying sized space between the game screen and the bezel as cabinets had this anyway.

I know why MAME needs to relate the bezel size to the screen size, but for the generic case it becomes extremely tedious. Retroarch allows a static full screen bezel and the game will take whatever screen size it needs even with integer scaling. Is there some way I can do this for MAME?

Thanks for any info.
