Everyone else has already explained things...providing mundane info if even curious
>umk3 : l2.0_mortal_kombat_3_u2_ultimate.u2 issue is now resolved with recent update and all rom sets are considered fixed.
>umk3 : 463 MK3 Ultimate.u64 (4105 bytes) - NOT FOUND
This rom set has also been renamed. Probably to match the label in case the chip has a label affixed to the specific chip on the pcb.
Read the blog http://caps0ff.blogspot.se/2017/01/conquering-pic16c57-234-241-242.html
In this edition we look at obtaining the PIC16C57 ROM for the following:
241: Ultimate Mortal Kombat 242: World Rampage
241/242 are found as U64 on Midway Wolf Unit game boards. Board repair logs indicate this part commonly failed. Extracted MCU ROMs can now be used to create replacement parts.
ROM_REGION( 0x1009, "serial_security:pic", 0 ) /* security PIC (provides game ID code and serial number) */
ROM_LOAD( "463 MK3 Ultimate.u64", 0x0000, 0x1009, CRC(4f425218) -
Decapped several weeks ago and was supported in a couple Midway games in latest release of MAME .183 It doesn't mean much for end users, but it is useful for pcb owners of Midway games making sure pcb can be repaired if necessary.
