Yep. Whenever Dodgers would visit Pirates at Three Rivers stadium and when Haddix was pitching coach for Chuck Tanner in mid 1970s to mid 1980s, Dodgers tv and redio broadcaster Vin Scully would always remind Dodger fans about that particular Pirates game whenever Haddix had to walk to pitchers mound to talk to the Pirates pitcher.

The thing impressed me was Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams (along with Pirates relievers) and Pirates defense were fortunate enough to prevent Dodgers from scoring any runs even though Dodgers had bases loaded three different times and Dodgers had 8 hits. And Pirates didn't have any baserunners (perfect game) until 9th when Mercer reached on a Dodger error and Pirates won the game in 10th with one hit being Josh Harrison's HR hit. imo Wednesday's game was an extremely rare event and probably won't happen again for another 50 to 100 years.

I don't know if there had been any previous baseball game results in the past like what happened in Wednesday's game. There may have been one or two previous games, but Baseball-Reference web site doesn't have box score results going back to early 1900s or earlier.
