I don't know how this would be implemented into MAME. I think they lit up. I need font help. See next post. If you have the font, let me know.

"Hooray!" .....screams actor Mel Gibson in one of his audio recorded rants.

>I don't know how this would be implemented into MAME. I think they lit up.

I never played the game in arcades myself.

>I need font help. See next post.

I don't have as many font files as I used to. My older computer system that I used to have during mid 1990s had quite a few font files.

The game can control 2 lamps, "START LAMP", and "BACK LAMP". according to the source file the tags are "led0" and "led1", look at other .lay files to understand how to hook them up.

Or did you mean the fake dials? I assume those are simply always lit up.

Hmmm, I think one would be the tail lights ("Back Lamp") in the deluxe version as in this video

Yes the others seem fake and are lit up all the time as in this video. There looks to be a red start button at 2:22 which I guess would be "start lamp".

No rush, I was just kidding. I did the whatthefont.com. I can probably make Arial work but see if you come up with something better.

LOL, thanks for vote of confidence, even if it's in an insane MelG rant.

>I never played the game in arcades myself.

It was kind of a weak game to me, I didn't play it much.

No prob, I will try investigating it myself. Mr Do is great at finding the right one. I was just trying to peak some interest in artwork around here. BTW, this is one I started a long time ago and decided to finish. Clowns is still coming...........

The font for all the gauges is Futura.

The instruction plate...? This one's hard to figure out. The type of serifs these letters have, I can't figure out (not that I'm an expert).

It's like a "half-serif" font... look at the a, c, e, f, g, r, s, t, y

Anyone have a image of what this looked like in a cabinet? I can't picture it. And can't find anything using Google. Thanks!

Damn't... I was right... I'm missing the right piece of the control panel.

Anyway... see attached pic. The "gauges" piece that I have is the left piece of this control panel. It is underneath the black molding.

The instructions piece sits underneath the monitor at the bottom of the molded bezel (which, btw, I still have sitting in the garage... just need to take some pictures).

Now I gotta find another control panel. =P

I thought there might be a part 2 for me after looking at the videos on YouTube. That one in the picture looks really clean.

Let me know if/when you find one. I will knock it out. Here's what I got so far

OK. Gotcha. I thought the image posted was a marque, not instructions. Did any of the gauges work or were they just decorative?

In one of the videos I posted in this thread the owner says the were "dummies" but they lit up.

If you look at Hap's response in this thread there are only two lights hooked up to the PCB. One is the start button & one is the tail light.

Heres the videos for reference.........
