Video died

Hi everyone.
I fired up my cabinet for the first time in months only to find a blank screen. It used to work just fine.
I can hear windows loading in the background (startup music for XP) and I can shut the PC down using hotkeys (even though I cant see the screen).
I run an ASUS MB with a Arcade VGA 3000 PCIe card through to a JPac.
I have tried re-seating the RAM, Video card and processor with no luck.
I assume these components are OK as windows is actually booting up.
I disconnected the JPac and tried a standard monitor with no luck.
I then decided to try a know good Video card with no luck.
Is it possible the PCIe port on the mainboard has failed.
If so this would be a first for me.

You failed to mention anything about what is actually displaying the image, the most probable culprit.

He tried a normal PC monitor without the JPac and another video card. It has to be the motherboard, no?
My first guess would be that there was a CMOS reset (or the battery is dead) and the motherboard BIOS has reverted to on-board video as primary display.

Sorry for the lack of info.
I run a screen out of an old 25" TV set with universal chassis. This works fine as I can plug in a Jamma board and play away no problems.
Also the MB has no built in video but it does have built in sound. The MB is an Asus P5QL-E

Try a CMOS reset then. Close the CMOS reset pins with a jumper (or remove the battery) unplug the power supply from the mains and wait for about 5 minutes.

Just a quick update:
I removed the cmos battery last night and managed to drop it at the same time. Now I cant find it, it is somewhere in the false bottom of my cabinet which is really hard to get into unless you pull some of the cab apart!
Doh
So I have to wait until after christmas when the shops open again to go and get a new battery.

OK just after typing my last post I remembered I had a spare battery. So I installed it.
I still have no video output DVI or DSUB connector.
Now it sounds like windows not loading as I cant hear startup music anymore.
I dont have a speaker to plug into the mainboard, maybe I should get one to hear if there are any beeps. Otherwise I dont think its posting anymore.
It sounds like the mainboard is stuffed to me so I might just leave it at that and save some pennys for a new one.

It's not broken, just stuck on the "CMOS Reset, defaults loaded. Press F1 to continue?". All mobos do it when the CMOS gets cleared. It will stay on this screen until you either go into the BIOS setup and redo the settings or let the CMOS load the default settings.
That board has no onboard graphics display capability by the looks so it must know you have a PCIe GFX card installed or it wouldn't have booted. Try cleaning the PCIe slot with a soft brush and a can of air and try using a known working PCIe card, VGA/DVI cable and monitor. If that doesn't work but windows boots it might be a board issue but it's certainly not a usual fault I've heard of.
