This frontend uses a method for rendering the video that is not compatible with standard mp4 published on Arcade Site Database. In detail there is an unrecognized space color format YUV 4:4:4 (yuv444p). To solve this problem, I provide an on-the-fly conversion of downloaded mp4 files in my ADB-Tools program. Updates are also supported. The program creates a text file called "__filelist_crc.txt" that contains all informations needed to avoid downloading the video twice and it enables the ADB program to operate as for native formats. This file is written automatically, don't delete or edit it by hand. The quality loss is negligible and you get a file compatible with HyperSpin. I tested videos with version 1.4. NOTE: The conversion is made by the PC which may be a bit slow for larger files, especially if you are using an older computer. To achieve the same result you can use other tools such as ffmpeg or avconv also available under Windows. Here is the command to be given in this case:
Obviously in this case you can't take advantage of the updates released regularly by the program. If you downloaded the files from the AntoPISA pack and you would like to take advantage of the ADB-Tools update mechanism, you just copy the files __filelist_crc.txt in the video destination folder. In this way, you will not be re-download the same videos. Obviously, starting from that moment, if you will replace or edit the txt file (for example a pack update from ProgettoSnaps), you will lose the updates made by hand so if you want to continue to use ADB-Tools again, my advice is to ignore updates indicating to never overwrite the files. In that situation AntoPISA can deliver update packs.
