MAMEWorld Forums - Hardware - Obtained some equipment from a server (rack)...

2 items in particular are what I'm wondering about.

They're both very heavy, probably close to or over 50 lbs.

One has 5 or 6 drives in it that could be pulled out (I believe), and I think the other thing is a backup battery. We had to have it replaced, like, not even a year ago. So it's fairly new.

For anyone wondering what I mean by "obtained"... The place I work at had new equipment brought in to replace what we had. We were leasing the equipment, but for whatever reason - had paid for it for so long that it was now ours (or the place I work for). So, since they couldn't send it back, nor have it hauled off to a landfill (not if I had anything to say about it) - I was tasked with taking it off of their hands, and did so, willingly.

Anyway, I'm wondering what I might be able to do with them. Well, I think I know WHAT, it's just HOW would I do it?

And no, I haven't tried anything yet (probably shouldn't have even bothered making this topic until after the fact). I doubt I'll post pics, but it's possible. If anything, I'll look for any product names, model numbers, etc. and maybe get some feedback/opinions then.
