Linux GRUB @ 15.75kHz ?

I have my XP x64 build up and running and it's time for me to move on and build the cab to Linux.

Distro of choice is crunchbang-lite-9.04.01.amd64.iso

Is it possible to pass kernel boot parameters to boot to a resolution suitable for my K7000?

Or, if that's not possible, boot using a near enough resolution, then into a frontend that is suitable ?

I'm no novice and I know there is a lot of info out there, but I just can't get my head round it, nor can I get it to work?

Any advise would be great

TIA DM :-D
