It's all standard PC componants. If I managed to get it to partially boot on a Pentium 2 board which isn't the original, I can't imagine anything is custom. I was only limited in that I have no Voodoo cards.
Just plug it into a PCI slot without any other graphics cards and test it out.
If the system still works with these wires dangling, then they most likely won't be needed. And as long as the screen was 31khz, there's no issue with having the monitor directly connected. If I remember, thatt "edge" like connector is just an IDE with power for other devices, unused.
You should really look for the manuals.
