MAMEWorld Forums - Hardware - Questions about: I-PAC, legal, led, GNU/Linux

Hello all, My name is Jorge Rosa, and this is my 1st post in MAME forums, but been using MAME for a long (long, long!) time ago....

I´ve read this legal notice about I-PAC:
"Important Legal Note: For legal reasons we must state here that the I-PAC is not designed to be used in revenue-earning applications where a credit mechanism is used (...) are designed to be used with panel pushbuttons not coin doors or note acceptors. "

1) - The above information applies cause its because intends to be used with MAME (And I know it cant be used for commercial purposes), or its a restriction to manufacturer´s country law? OR applies to all world?...

2) - What led board / led controller do you recommend to use, for a pinball-like, and to use it in GNU/Linux Ubuntu? (Quality software for this platform is essencial)
