Availability of "curved" arcade monitors
11/07/12 08:52 PM

Hello all,

Been a while since I've participated in the community and once again I am contemplating building a MAME cab (maybe I'll actually follow thru this time).

Last time I checked out Happ Controls (years ago before their merger), they had many options including the Wells-Gardner D9200 fancy monitor; however, now it is no longer available and I did not see any of the traditional curved CRT monitors. There were these new "flat" CRTs and was wondering if anybody has had experience with them and what they thought, aesthetically?

How do these monitors impact the arcade experience and what are your thoughts of the newer LCD monitors? Is it worth hunting down a classic CRT arcade monitor?

Thanks for looking at my post and any comments are greatly appreciated.
