Check the 49way sticks to make sure they are getting power. I can't remember off hand what pin is power, and what the voltage is, but it should be either +5 or +12v DC.

Check all your grounding wires too. It's usually chained across all the buttons, and if the wire broke or something, it can make everything not work.
