My PC in my arcade machine died recently so I have decided I will build another one. My machine has always just run mame and a jukebox, nothing else. Now I am thinking of installing a few more emulators and running a video jukebox. I would also like to run Visual Pinball (probably with 2 monitors)
I am a bit of a purist and my cab has an arcade monitor (actually its an old tv with a universal chassis, because I broke the yoke on my old arcade monitor). I tried running visual pinball on this monitor with not much success due to the resolution restrictions.
I was wondering what the general feeling is on using flat screens these days and if there has been improvements how the games look on these flat screens.
I was thinking of using flat screens so I can get the best of having mame and a bunch of other great emulators.
