I guess you'll have to play around with it and see how it feels, but my first thought is that your right hand is going to get lost among all of those buttons. It looks logical, but I think hitting the button you want without looking down is going to be tricky.

Another thought... I assume you're giving up the analog functionality of the stick and trigger button. I'm not actually familiar enough with N64 games to know if that's really an issue or not, but it's something to think about.

Personally, if I were building a cabinet right now, I would optimize the control layout for arcade games, and then build a USB port into the cabinet to plug in a USB gamepad for console games. For some consoles you can get away with using arcade controls, but once you get into analog sticks and multiple shoulder buttons, it gets too complicated for my taste.
