MAMEWorld Forums - Hardware - Killer Instinct on a budget?

Okay, here goes...

I’m gna build my own arcade cabinet for MAME using a PC.

The thing is, I have ZERO experience building one. There’s a first time for everything, right?

The only games I care about playing are Killer Instinct 1 & 2, MK 1, 2 & UMK3.

I feel confident enough in configuring all the buttons and joysticks, so my question is: what specific hardware do I need that I can get for a reasonable price? My wife is 9 months pregnant so this is gna be pieced together slowly, which I’m totally okay with.

Again, I have no experience but I can navigate my way through tutorials.

CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM... Whatever else I need. I’m not even sure exactly what those are but I will learn.

I’m sure there are some tech OGs in here that won’t even give this post a second glance because of how n00b status it is, and I completely understand, but for any of you who take pity on me, any and all insight, advice and help will be seriously tremendously appreciated.
