• Added option to throttle after video update rather than before (-lowlatency or -lolat). [Antonio Giner] * Reduces input latency when enabled, but may cause input latency and frame interval jitter for some emulated systems.
This sounds great. It seems like this is one further step of implementing GroovyMAME features into official MAME. Really cool move.
• galaga.cpp: Re-implemented starfield emulation based on reverse-engineering of the Namco 05xx chip. [Robert Hildinger] * Fixes a number of regressions, and addresses corner cases.
Seems like a long time problem is solved. I am so curious how this will look now.
And last but not least, thank you Moogly for all the bgfx fixes. Most problems seems to be solved. If i have read that stuff correctly, then bgfx now, is as fast as any other shadersystem, which is very nice.
All in all, this release is kind of a christmas present for me. The only wish i would have left is, implementing all vector (games) shading stuff from HLSL. If this is planned someday, please use the stuff from 0.179 release, which was the best release for vector games.
Thank you MAME devs, this is some nice release you put out here. Thumbs up.
