Assuming that almost everyone had watched the Thursday 'still talking stupid as usual' statements daily briefings before the White House media, infamous video clip, I was finally able to watch it late Friday night.
The jackass handlers were claiming it was all sarcasm. Um...no. Being sarcastic and doing sarcasm means one has to already have some smarts of what the topic matter is and not present it in a serious manner. Jackass presented it in a serious manner unlike comedian/actor/personality Don Rickles who is/was smart to a degree and knew his material to be able to present in a true sarcastic, caustic humor style.
As one physician had given his opinion on a KNX 1070 AM morning radio show on Friday morning (day after), there is a time to do a sarcasm routine and given time of being serious and to not do a sarcasm routine. The Thursday daily briefing is not the time to do the sarcasm routine.
Here is transcript of the words of when watching Thursday's video clip and when the jackass was looking over at the doctor (Dr. Brix) who was seated and basically motionless and somewhat tried looking away from the jackass when jackass was looking at her for her input. That moment is not a Don Rickles' comedy sarcasm routine. It was serious and not a sarcasm joke routine unlike the jackass who is a total joke.

One poster in the thread had their own take of what took place on Thursday night. Maybe there is something there, but a wannabe dictator has to be Joseph Stalin-like smart to pull that type of stunt and the jackass only has just enough 'street smarts' to be a con artist and can fool folks stupider than him. The jackass is intellectually too stupid to pull mind games with folks.
I think people are misunderstanding what we saw yesterday and it is more insidious that you think.

WHAT I THINK THAT WE WITNESSED YESTERDAY WAS A LOYALTY TEST. He spouted that absolutely crazy nonsense to force those physicians, who he is jealous of (their education but most of all the attention that they are getting in the press) to cringe under the lash of his ignorance.
Think about how insane that is and how massively dangerous.
He is mentally ill and is damaging the psyche of the nation in the middle of a deadly pandemic and the press is helping him do it.
I believe that he is a psychopath and a serial killer. He enjoys humiliating and hurting others and he is reveling in the attention he is getting every afternoon in these absolutely soul sucking shit shows.

The short answer is no. They do not understand irony or sarcasm. ... Psychopaths have real problems understanding and creating metaphors, especially those which require humor. They also do not understand or appreciate jokes. All of these things require empathy, which they do not possess.
If anyone can show that this creature has ever told or laughed at the sharing of a joke, I would like to see it. I have never seen him genuinely share a laugh.
