Question about strange DK machine

We got some arcade machines at work but they are a little strange. Is this thing official or a licensed re-issue? I thought DK was a 4-way but you can move this joystick in 8 directions. Also the monitor is LCD.

Not sure. Did Nintendo ever re-issue or license a more modern cabinet version?

the only reissue as far as i know was in 2005 but it was combined with mario bros and donkey kong jr.the monitor on the 2005 release is not a pc monitor,i believe it might have been a crt monitor. the modern release joysticks can move 8 ways.your cabinet looks redone though.

The 4-Way restrictor is probably missing form the joystick.
