Getting Ps3 games to work on a PC?
#258115 - 06/22/11 10:09 PM

Most of my fighters are on Ps3, I was just wondering if there was a sort of Ps3 Loader that existed for PC. So I could just put in my copy of a game and play it.

I'd rather not download all the PC versions of things I already own.

There is not. That would be the whole point in making a PS3 version.

I guess it just doesn't exist yet. I don't know what you mean by the whole point in it being a PS3 version. There are plenty of PS3 games I'd like to play on my PC in my arcade cabinet with arcade controls. Just like on PCSX2 I can put in my PS2 Gradius 5 and play that arcade style.

There's plenty of uses for it.

I see, you're wondering if there is PS3 emulator out there? I think we are about 5 (wild guess) years away from that - at least. I gather a PS3 to jamma converter might become available one day?

Yea I figured. That's too bad, o well I could always just use my custom arcade stick for it.

Thanks though.

I wouldn't hold my breath for full-speed playable emulation of anything beyond the PS2/Gamecube generation. PS3 and 360 are both more powerful than the PCs most people run emulators on, and PCs largely aren't getting faster, at least by clock rates. A PS3 to JAMMA adaptor's a good idea though, if you don't mind playing PS3 games in standard def

If you consider the Wii part of the 7th Gen then your comment is inaccurate, since the Wii has an emulator already which is capable of playing commericial games fll speed.

If you just considder it an upgraded gamecube, then, *shrug*

I specifically called out "PS3 and 360" in my post. Gotcha-a-MAMEdev FAIL.

You said full speed emulation of the PS2/GameCube era, thus you limited it to 6th gen XP

Ok I'm pedantic, so what?
