Need help fixing horizontal skipping on wells gardner 25k7193

okay this is what i have
windows xp ( thanks for the advice)
nvidia riva tnt2
soft15 installed
jpac
monitor wells gardner 25k7193
oh and messing with the horizontal thing on the monitor board does not help
i boot into windows and i have horizontal skipping..
how can i stop this..
the monitor was okay when it was working with the pcb board.

That sounds very much like the PC is still outputting 31 kHz VGA instead of 15 kHz arcade. Maybe Soft 15 kHz isn't enabled or set up properly?

On my Hantarex 15KHz arcade monitor, I have to fiddle with the "vertical hold" until I find the sweet spot where the image doesn't roll. Sometimes certain resolutions will roll while others do not, but I can usually find a spot that makes all of the resolutions stable. My monitor is also more stable once it warms up.

Yeah that what seams to be going on.. I installed soft the screen in my monitor is Fudged up. but it not working on the arcade side. i figured it installed since when i changed the setting my screen was shaking.. and when i un installed soft and restarted she went back to normal..
Do Not know what going on.. I have a Riva TNT 2 Nvidia ??
any suggestions..
