is this all i need?

ordered my jpac and vga3000 card from ultimarc new daisy chain wires new buttons and new joysticks for my umk3 cab. i bought a dell 2120 i3 running windows 7. ive got kega fusion proj64 mame ppk zsnes epsxr and reg nintendo emulators all running great. is this all i need to put the cpu in my cab and get the image on my arcade monitor? i ordered everything the ultimarc guy said i needed plus some..i guess now ive just got to decide if i want to run maximus or hyperspin2.0...anybody know optimal screen settings for full screen and what khz to run..i assume its 15 non interlaced right?.

For the frontend? I run 320x240 15Khz non-interlaced. I think that's the highest, cleanest, most normal res you can go before interlacing assuming you are going with a standard arcade monitor.

Tweaking the games is another story. I've spent many hours setting up the best resolutions and settings for each game. There's a tool on the Ultimarc CD that writes all the ini files for this, but I found that I didn't agree with them entirely. The good news is, once you find a res that works for a game and provides a good aspect ratio without any bastardization (high tech term!), it typically affects 2-10 other games in that same family, maybe more. Just copy the ini contents. And always backup your configs.
