Hello,
First, sorry for my possible stupid/newbish question : I use to play CherryBonus III and I'd like to change that nvram file, meaning adding more "credit IN", for example I have now "credit in = 19.000", credit out = 0", can it be made to be like "credit in = 500.000" ?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatly not unless you know the location and way that the game stores inserted credits. The NVRAM is a rewritable file made by MAME that makes it able to emulate the flashroms.
Basically, the NVRAM literally is the data the game writes to those chips and as such they aren't going to be string values you can edit in notepad, would require knowledge of hex editors.

Yes, that I've figured it out...I made two simple tests ( besides noticing that nvram file does not exist without game roms ) :
1. - had 15.000 "coin in" , - delete nvram - back in game and it's absolute 0 everywhere ( new nvram created automatically )
2.
- After some hours of playing, copy nvram at that moment somwhere ( let's say, state of play x ). - Start game again, ofc 0 again like in test 1 - Put back that nvram previously saved. - Game back to state of play x ( credits in/out, everything ).
So, basically everything related to chips in/out, payout and stuff, are stored in that nvram file written by mame ( I think ).
So...if that can be editable by some outside means, or not...I'd appreciate it

You could make an NVRAM file, back it up and use the same one but just add more credits and then using a hex editor you could compare the differences in the two files.

Thanks for the tip, I've succeeded to change "coin in" with 550.000, I really don't know how, I've changed some strings inside that nvram without knowing what a damm thing what am I doing...let's say 1 chance in a million

Out of curiosity, what was your purpose for this?

Ehh...the fun of getting something really big ( on screen ), in real games ( in casinos ) you will never get ), payout rate is between 50 and 90 %, those machines will allways pay back those x% if you play right ( no cheats or other bullshit stuff ). Someone who played a lot those machines in casinos, knows.

Okay, I could foresee some illegal use for this info.
