I finished cleaning up the Tempest cocktail bezel. I added a solid mahogany tabletop (no expense spared) and control panels (which would be visible from the top).

Finally, I also added an upright control panel with blinking volcano lights ("borrowed" from the Orbit artwork).

Looks good, but if I might make a suggestion....since this image of the tabletop represents a "bird's eye" view, the spinner knobs should angle away from from the table instead of towards it.

Way to go Combo. It's nice to see another contributor. As Trev has stated there is so much artwork that needs TLC. It really adds to whole experience....especially with the right size monitor.
You've actually inspired me.....I'm slowly cleaning up the Star Cruiser bezel.

The controller panel need to be out further. The stripe on the is under the wood on the right side. Stripe at the top is hidden under the wood where the red info is at. Then you are done afterward on that part. 
As for the screen.

I took some liberties with the screen size. It seemed a waste to have that big window and not fill it with as much Tempest as possible.

The real screen is huge with a little game play. I have no idea why they wasted all that space. Same for the cocktail cabinet. I fix it on my end to make it look like that. Just like the real feel to it.

Your changes are probably the right way to do it. I sometimes forget that the primary goal here is to document and preserve, not to play games (that's just a side benefit). Post your Tempest changes and I'll incorporate them when I'm finished my other projects.
