Enable lightgun under CORE INPUT OPTIONS in mame.ini

I'm not the kind of person to help clueless newbies, but come on, he at least said "i have edited my mame.ini to set lightgun to 1", which would imply that it has, in fact, been set to 1. I don't have any ideas as to what the actual issue is, but please at least try to grok the post you're replying to.

In fairness to Sune, your options for diagnosing lightguns on Windows are "set lightgun to 1" and "the hardware is defective/not MAME compatible". Basically if there's some support offered by whoever makes those guns the OP should probably avail themselves of it.

In mame.ini try setting:

Multimouse = 0
Dual Lightgun = 2

Plug in a gun and start Aimtrak utility. Go to Device ID tab and click to set ID to 2. Close utility. Plug next gun and open Aimtrak utility and it should show device as 1 (if not make it 1) and green firmware. Change to Device 2 and it should be green firmware as well.

Calibrate guns normally and may have to cal guns in individual games as well.

Compiling MAME with Force Direct Input disabled fixed this problem for me
