What's wrong with this MAME cfg? (Just 2 lines)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why this super-stripped down MAME cfg xml is falling down?

I'm trying to put a custom MAME launcher together, but whenever I set this as the only cfg and launch MAME via command line, the launch silently dies.











Update: Attached a txt file as there seems to be a render issue.

I have 2 inner xml elements:

port tag=":STICKX1" type="P1_AD_STICK_X" mask="255" defvalue="128" keydelta="0" sensitivity="1" />

port tag=":STICKY1" type="P1_AD_STICK_Y" mask="255" defvalue="128" keydelta="0" sensitivity="1"
