Ipega PG-9055 Wireless Bluetooth Controller for Android & iOS, Windows.
#364228 - 03/13/17 04:57 AM Attachment: PG-9055.png 2029 KB (0 downloads)

Hi, I've purchased one of these Bluetooth Controllers, the Ipega PG-9055 Red Spider. Designed to hold a Smartphone (I use a Samsung Galaxy S4) or a smaller Tablet horizontally or vertically. Works on both Android & iOS (switchable) & Windows. Also has a charge indicator button you can press to show how much charge is left, a full charge lasts 14 hours of continuos play and an eternity in standby. Absolutely brilliant for MAME4droid and other Android & iOS, Windows games and emulators. Telescopes to a minimum of 56mm (2.2 inches) to a maximum of 160mm (5.5 inches). You can also adjust the length of the grips for big or small hands. I paid about $40AU, but have seen them cheaper, I purchased it on eBay.

Well, this proves that touch-only smartphones are definitely NOT made for serious gamers.

Definitely, trying to use MAME4droid with the touchscreen controls is hopeless, joystick left/right games can be tolerable, but still using a controller such as this, shits all over that method of control.

I like the concept of it as for games that use 2 joysticks like karate champ it's great I just wish that they would make an icade Bluetooth version that had 2 joystick as well as all the buttons. I think climber uses 2 joysticks too. I know there's not many games that uses 2 joysticks but there's a few that do so if anyone sees an icade or an x-arcade type of joystick please let us know. Thanks

It's brilliant for twin joystick games such as Fire Trap in MAME4droid, agard. No configuring the controls either for twin joysticks, it is set up correctly by default.

I still like the real arcade joystick over using my thumb, some games like Pacland & Mikie u have to move the joystick fast either to the left or right & using your thumb on games like that especially trying to get over the water in Pacland is virtually impossible using your thumb. Swings & roundabouts there's good points on both systems but If it came down to picking, the Arcade joystick wins everytime. I think really I will have to make custom joysticks ports for my cabinet when I get round to saving up & building it. I would like my cabinet to have 4 players but that would mean 8 joysticks 2 trackballs & 4 light guns & 2 steering wheels, unless there's no games that use 2 joysticks for 4 players then it would just have 6 joysticks. I'm sure somebody somewhere has built a cabinet in mind for playing all the games. If someone has please post pics. Thanks

Cool, I use a Namco Arcade Stick with a Playstation to USB converter. Click the image to see the picture the right way up.

It's a fairly new controller.
