I just figured out how "Metal Maniax" can be fixed!

The service mode said "Slave node ID=2" implying that it was player 2 that was emulated. If you go to the link option, then you will only have 3 link options which are stand alone (2 seat), linked unit #1 (4 seat 1+2), & linked unit #2 (4 seat 3+4) implying that the game requires 2 players to work in order for the game to work. Since the service mode said "Slave node ID=2" implying that it was player 2 that was emulated & the game has only 3 link options which are stand alone (2 seat), linked unit #1 (4 seat 1+2), & linked unit #2 (4 seat 3+4) implying that the game requires 2 players to work in order for the game to work, you need to add a code that adds another screen for player 1 & you need another exact same stack of printed circuit boards for player 1.

I know what I am talking about! Please give me respect. I did not do anything wrong to you. All I did was just only say 1 idea that should be added to M.A.M.E.

Unfortunately, since you are relatively new to the forums, you do not understand the purpose of MAME. As I stated in another post, the purpose of MAME is to document (for preservation) the actual core instructions for each component of a circuit board (of which there are several in arcade games). Unless you have the actual boards and are willing to donate for research, or have proper programming skills to be able to contribute to the coding of the actual hardware, you are only pandering to the development community. Pandering will only result in further scorn of said request. There is nothing more that can be done right now, so please stop trying to request workarounds just to get the game to work.
