I mentioned this when it was posted on Reddit, but while the article itself is new, it seems like all they're doing is reporting on a raid that happened circa 2012, which was a followup to a discovery in 2009, both of which were posted about fairly extensively on arcade emulation forums at the time.

It's a great article though, and it's amazing to re-read how much effort these guys went through in order to save those machines. It was heartbreaking to see the photo of the cabinets in standing water that got in just because people are such selfish shitbags that they stole the seals around the god damn windows.

That's cool. The ship and it's location has an eerie feeling to it. The arcade cabinets may be haunted.

I wish they would have took higher quality pictures and video of the cabinets, though.
