Damn, you're making me want to make system 10 work :-) Looks beautifully nuts.

It's even crazier in motion (I've seen video). Sadly the "www.abduction.jp" website it pimps during attract mode no longer exists

That alien in the 3rd and 8th pics reminds me of the Level 2 boss in Space Harrier 2. It's head body that is. In SH2 it didn't have facial features... Well, not until it was about to die.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the similarity between the alien on the 5th pic and Roger from American Dad.

Just in case you need even more motivation for that, look at this pretty cool arcade puzzle games with not so common gameplay :
Star Trigon (Namco, 2002)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRkJ6KZqqO0

Ko no e Tako (Mitchell, 2003))
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXTvEGEG8ns

Thanks for reading
Cheers

There's at least a dozen System 10 games available/dumped including those 2 above....

It would be handy if someone (i.e. you) can tell whether the current S10 dumps are good or not. I heard there was additional info in the ROMs (an unsupported mode) that can't be read out with any current EPROM readers (iirc smf complained like an old woman about the current dumps). I have at least 6 more of these PCBs that are not dumped yet but I'm waiting for emulation to begin to know whether the dumps are good or not. No point dumping more (bad dumps) until I know they are ok.
However at the very least Mr Driller 2 should be good because the ROM types are a completely different type not NAND-based like all the other S10 games.

There is data you haven't dumped (per-page stuff for page relocation, etc). It is possible that data isn't needed. Hard to say with the two different encryptions lying in there, but I'm going to have a look.

As for Mr Driller 2, unless I missed something, you haven't dumped the DA28F640J5 Intel flashes ? (DR21VERA.1A, DR22VERA.1A).

OG.

I did miss something, they are dumped.

ok I'll redump one for you to look at. I have a new device that only supports NAND flash ROMs. I've already used it many times to dump some other stuff that no one else can do :-D

NAND dumps definitely incomplete, they should be 16Mbyte+512Kbyte in size... there is no any secret or hardly accessible sectors and mostly, apart from flash drives etc., they using extra space for normal continuous data... like gaelco hardware or cave does...

Yup, the extra data should be the read the same as the "spare" area that Guru dumps for the System 246/256 dongles.

There's also two green aliens that look like the ones from Mars Attacks.
