Dumping Union 2nd Anniversary
#251248 - 04/08/11 05:29 AM

This week marks the 2nd anniversary of The Dumping Union. We are now up to 55 members. In 2 years we've received over $24,000 in donations and dumped and documented a countless amount of rare and hard to get games. Today is no different and thanks to a huge donation from gamerfan we got an Arctic Thunder computer, still with the original hard drive. We also picked up a replacement drive for it that is labeled as a later revision.

We also picked up a rare Japanese medal game called Alien: The Arcade Medal Edition by Capcom. There were 2 Alien medal games made. This was the first one and later they made Alien: Danger. You can see them here:

And boards:

Bill D. dumped a Street Fighter III NG Hispanic cart but it has been determined that the region changes in CPS3 carts can now be accurately faked so all remaining undumped regions for all the games should be added soon. We also picked up another Gundam game, this time a kit for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Federation Vs. Z.A.F.T. II.

There's plenty of undumped stuff we can get if anyone can donate.

Thanks once again to all of our donators over the past 2 years.

I love some of the Quantum arcade computer case designs. This one isn't particularly well laid out, but some of them are. I like the way that they always have the drives facing out the back so that you can get to them when you take the back off the cabinet.

I wish I had mad metalworking skills. I'd probably make something like that for my own MAME cabinet.

I thought of similar things. Heck I've pretty much designed my own PC based arcade board, even most of the case in a book somewhere.

Ain't that funky: the MB86292 is a 2D/3D GPU and there's actually documentation available. The MN677511DE is a Dolby Digital decoder, which isn't quite so funky. Still, it's not like anybody is going to try emulating this anytime soon

Never a lack of side-boob in anime arcade flyers.

Why? SH4 (emulated)+documented graphics chip, that can be a fun and no as hard as usual project for someone (not me! ;-).

OG.

Technically, that's cleavage not side boob.

It's a tough call. The view is approx 18 degrees to the front, so there's definite cleavage aspect. But, the view is also only about 25 degrees from the side, so there's a definite side boob component.

If I had to stake money on it, I'd bet "side cleavage" would be the correct technical term.
